Membership

As a local non-profit, Shasta Land Trust depends on the support we receive from our community.  Please join us in our mission to conserve significant lands in the Northstate and become a member today!

Local support and generous membership gifts have enabled SLT to protect over 20,000 acres of diverse land in the northstate. As a member, you join hundreds of others sharing a commitment to our wildlife, working landscapes, and scenic open space. Your membership will provide you the satisfaction of having insured this rich inheritance for future generations.

Your membership also subscribes you to our newsletter, Terrain, and gets you discounts to all Wildways events throughout the year.

The support of our members makes all of our conservation successes possible!

Some of our volunteering opportunities:

Shasta Land Trust tabling events - If you enjoy sharing your experiences with others, you could staff our booth as a representative of Shasta Land Trust for one of the numerous events that occur in the local area.

Help plan the Wildways Kickoff party and event series-  Each year, SLT plans and carries out a unique series of events in our area, and each year we need help putting it all together.  We start planning for Wildways early, so don't wait to contact us.

Field work -  If you like rolling up those sleeves and getting some fresh air, then this is your type of volunteer work! Field work opportunities with SLT include restoration events, cleanup events (Great Sierra River Cleanup), and conservation easement monitoring.  You may also be interested in joining SLT's Land Stewardship Team.

Office work (letters, data entry, filing, etc.) - Volunteers assist with mailing SLT newsletters,  Wildways Kickoff invitations, brochures, and other mailings.  We welcome volunteers on a regular or on-call basis.

Committee work - As a small non-profit with few staff, SLT gets much of our work done through volunteer-led committees.  From project work to fundraising, educational events to publications, we receive important help from members of our community.
